Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. As an ABA service provider, we create and maintain records related to your child’s treatment, services, and health information. We are required by law to protect the privacy of your Protected Health Information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
How We May Use and Disclose Your PHI
For Treatment
We may use and share PHI with professionals involved in your child’s care, such as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), physicians, psychologists, or school personnel as needed to coordinate therapy.
For Payment
We may use or disclose PHI to obtain payment from your insurance plan, verify coverage, process claims, or obtain authorization for services.
For Healthcare Operations
We may use PHI to manage our practice, improve services, conduct quality assessments, train staff, or perform internal reviews.
Other Permitted Uses and Disclosures
We may also disclose PHI when required by:
-Law
-Public health activities
-Court orders or subpoenas
-Reporting suspected abuse or neglect
-Preventing a serious threat to health or safety
-Government agencies such as Medicare, Medicaid, or audits
Except as described above, we will not use or share your PHI without your written authorization. You may revoke authorizations at any time in writing.
